What is mobile wallet?
A mobile wallet lets you store your debit or credit card on your Apple, Google, Samsung, or Garmin device so you can make secure, fast payments in stores or online. Just add your eligible Vantage West Visa card to your mobile wallet and start paying with a tap.
Are mobile wallets safe to use?
Yes, mobile wallets are safe to use and are often more secure than physical cards. Your actual card number is not stored on your device or shared with most merchants.
Instead, a unique virtual card number is created for your mobile wallet and linked only to your digital wallet and device. When you pay with a mobile wallet, no one sees or handles your physical card, adding an extra layer of protection.
Which Vantage West cards are eligible for use in mobile wallets?
Vantage West consumer credit and debit cards, as well as business credit and debit cards, are eligible for mobile wallets. HELOC Visa cards are not eligible.
How do I add my Vantage West cards to my mobile wallet?
To add your debit card through the mobile app:
- Log in to the Vantage West mobile app
- Select More/Menu
- Tap Card Control: Activate, Block, Travel, & Alerts
- Swipe until your debit card appears
- Scroll to the bottom and choose Add to Apple Pay or Add to Google Wallet
- Follow the prompts to complete setup
- On Apple Pay, don’t forget to set your card as default
To add your debit or credit card through your mobile wallet:
- Open the mobile wallet app on your device
- Take a photo of your card or enter the card number manually (on iPhone, you can also tap your card with your device
- Enter the CVV and expiration dat
- Complete the verification step by text, email, or phone
- Accept the Vantage West Mobile Wallet Terms and Conditions
How do I make my Vantage West card the default card in my mobile wallet?
Setting your Vantage West card as your default card makes it quick and easy to pay using your Vantage West account. Follow the steps below based on your mobile wallet.
Apple Wallet
- Go to Settings
- Select Wallet & Apple Pay
- Tap Apple Pay Defaults
- Tap Default Card
- Choose your Vantage West card
Google Wallet
- Open Google Wallet
- Select your Vantage West card
- Tap the three dots in the top right corner
- Select Make Default
Am I required to have the Vantage West mobile app to use a mobile wallet?
No. While we encourage members to use the Vantage West mobile app, it is not required to use a mobile wallet. The mobile wallet is part of your device, and only needs to have your Vantage West credit or debit card information loaded.

Vantage West debit and credit cards can be added to the following mobile wallet platforms:
