Recent election results have placed the newest members of the Board of Directors, including new professionals and returning board members. The new board will serve to continue the strategic initiatives of the credit union in support of its vision.

CEO, Robert D. Ramirez has recently begun mentoring a group of young bilingual students here in Tucson in order to introduce them to the possibilities of the future. Through shadowing the CEO, these students have the opportunity to learn about potential career paths and financial readiness.

A handful of Tucson students now have a better understanding of what it is like to be CEO after spending the day shadowing Vantage West’s President and CEO, Robert D. Ramirez. “Youth are our future… Helping them understand what we do allows them to better understand how to improve their own lives and the lives in the communities where they live.”

In preparation of the new school year Vantage West has launched a partnership with the University of Arizona to sponsor U of A’s ZonaZoo! As the Wildcats prepare for a new season, the largest student section in the country will sponsored in part by the credit union.
