Our History
1955 — A Mission Begins
Vantage West started in a one-room barrack at Davis-Monthan Air Force Base to serve Tucson’s airmen and their families.
2006 — A New Name for a Bigger Vision
We became Vantage West Credit Union after converting to a state charter, creating room to serve a growing and diverse Arizona community.
Today — 70 Years Strong and Still Community-Led
With billions in assets, hundreds of thousands of Members, and locations across Arizona, our mission is unchanged: to invest in the people and places that invest in us.
1960s — Growing With Tucson
In just over a decade, Membership grew from a few hundred to nearly 14,000, proving that people wanted a financial institution built for them.
2010–2014 — Expanding Our Reach
Through key mergers with First Edition Community Credit Union and Tombstone Federal Credit Union, we grew across the state while keeping our local roots strong.
