Vantage West Awards Holiday Grants to Local Nonprofits Nominated by Employees

TUCSON — In the spirit of giving back to the communities that have supported Vantage West Credit Union over the years, Vantage West in turn supports local nonprofit organizations year-round.

Vantage West also has a tradition, where at year’s end, employees are called to nominate nonprofits they feel have made an impact on the lives of others, to be considered for a year-end donation.  This year, the following eleven organizations were each selected to receive a gift.

  • Tucson Medical Center’s Children’s Miracle Network
  • Tucson Museum of Art
  • Echoing Hope Ranch
  • Santa’s Helpers
  • Southern Arizona Against Slavery
  • Assistance League of Tucson, Operation School Bell
  • Kino Border Initiative
  • Pima County Animal Care Center
  • Imago Dei Middle School
  • Parkinson Wellness Recovery
  • Wounded Warriors Project

“We are a community-based credit union, so we are focused on whatever we can do for this community.  It follows our mission of people helping people,” said Vantage West President/CEO Robert D. Ramirez.

Vantage West Credit Union is southern Arizona’s largest, with $1.1 billion in assets.  The credit union has 15 branches in Pima, Pinal, and Maricopa counties.
