For the past 64 years, Tucson has honored those who have greatly contributed to our community with the Greater Tucson Leadership Man and Woman of the Year awards. Cristie Street and Robert D. 2/1/17 –  Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco appoints Vantage West leader as CDIAC member
The Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco has appointed Robert D. Ramirez to serve on the Twelfth District Community Depository Institutions Advisory Council (CDIAC). The list was ranked by total assets as of March 31, 2015, as reported by the Mountain West Credit Union Association and the National Credit Union Administration.  Vantage West made the list with $1.48 billion in assets.  Vantage West is based in Tucson, but has two branches in the Phoenix area.

07/06/15 – Vantage West Names New Board of Directors
During a June 23 meeting, the board held its election of officers, where Chariman, Charles Matthewson was re-elected to his position, Gene Santarelli was voted Vice Chairman, Gary W. The U.S. Hispanic population is one of the fastest-growing consumer segments in the country, while Hispanic-owned businesses are also growing at the fastest pace in the nation.  Statistics indicate the Hispanic population will reach 132.8 million by 2050, which will constitute 30 percent of the U.S. population.  Arizona’s economy is home to more than 67,000 Hispanic-owned businesses, the overwhelming majority of the state’s 100,000 minority-owned businesses.

John Driskill has recently been elected to the Vantage West Credit Union Board of Directors after serving as an associate director earlier this year. Driskill, a retired insurance executive, held several senior positions within the insurance industry. He retired following his 20 years of service as the CEO and managing director of the American Society of CLU & ChFC, a professional society within the insurance industry.

The Arizona Fisher House Foundation and the Southern Arizona Veterans Health Care Systems will recognize Vantage West Credit Union for its generous commitment of $100,000.  AFHF is raising $3,000,000 to be matched by the national Fisher House Foundation to build a Fisher House on the SAVAHCS campus where military and veterans’ families can stay at no cost while a loved one is receiving medical treatment.
